This reed has been specially developed to reduce yarn friction on the dent. It is primarily designed for special fibres such as Kevlar, fibreglass and filaments that require a smaller contact area of the yarn with the dent, with the aim of improving the quality of the fibre, while preventing it from defibering. This is achieved by applying a special process to the dents that considerably reduces the friction coefficient.
